edit: on further evaluation looks kinda dumb, you have to mount the stupid sensors next to the gear shift.

I just built myself a Cigarette Plug for my bike. found a bunch on the internet for 50 made mine for 15.

I did it last year, but I spent closer to 50 including the marine grade plug, relay, and fuse block. The system powers off when the bike is off so I dont kill my battery

My parents gave me a gear indicator for my birthday. Its called brain, ass, and ears. It works on every bike I have owned.

mine works most of the time but every once in a while it's convinced that there's a 7th gear...

lol i do this too. Every time i kick myself, because even though my brain knows im in 6th my foot wants to bump up another gear.
