It's better to change the oil & filter before you put the bike away in the fall.

That way you have fresh, pure oil on all your machined surfaces instead of used, contaminated oil.

says whom?
I've never seen any proof that one is better than the other. I figure I'd rather have fresh oil in it when I start riding it than when it's just sitting in storage for 5-6 months.

in the video it mentioned adding it to your oil, in thru the carb/vacuum line, and the rest in your tank. triple attack lol. that wasnt for storage, that was just proper usage according to the vid. but that was a car. i dont winterize, never will. just curious about usage.

i decided not to use it yet, but i will. already got the can

I dont change my oil before or after winter storage. Never have, never will. I dont see the point. I change at the recommended intervals.

Shouldn't cause a problem. I have done it before in snowblowers/lawnmowers.

no problem... I put staybil in my gas on my ZZR before I stored it... ran a can of Seafoam through (over a couple tanks) when it first came out of storage...

then again... I did loop and total it... but I'm about 80% sure that wasn't caused by the Seafoam
