Clackers Wonder how many kids knocked their teeth out
My wife still has hers from when she was a kid. It was fun growing up in the 60s and 70s. We had cool toys like Lawn Darts I got one of these when I was 6 ( from the ad, it's for sale for $84 ) 1960s Texaco Fire Chief Fireman Hat Helmet w/ Orig. BoxThis is an unused, never worn Texaco Fire Chief Hat in the original box and packaging. It is in perfect condition. Includes original instruction sheet. Even the Ever Ready batteries that came with helmet are unopened. The box is also in very nice shape, free ofany damage, rips, holes,or stains. The battery-operated microphone and speaker are operational. The helmet is made of plastic and was manufactured by Brown & Bigelow of Minneapolis, Minnesota USA in the 1960s.Measures 11" x 14" across the brim and is about 8.5" in height. |

Ti 99-4a. i still have two of those amazing what that computer was capable of at the time. thing was like a gateway drug to a lifelong gaming habit even used to try and translate sample programs from the ti-basic to q-basic on my 286. think theres still some old 99'er mags at my parents house somewhere

Blows my mind how incredibly more powerful and capable the machine I'm using right now is than my 1st one - that Ti99-4a with its whopping 2 kilo-bytes of ram (.002 megabytes, or .000002 gigabytes) & cassette-tape storage - in just one generation. Won a regional jr. high science-fair w/ that bish & a simple little BASIC program which processed study-habit/grade statistics from a survey I made of my class. Shoulda stuck with bits & bytes instead of going to nuts & bolts for a profession - might have wound up a much better-paid dork! |

I tinkered with trying to write BASIC programs from their guide, but got bored with it... especially since I didn't have any media to write the programs to and lost them every time I shut it off.
