German technology has always been top notch. The Nazi's screwed things up, but their culture has its charm.

Isnt it neat that each race builds machines to match their own traits and personalities...

"German" would be a Nationality, not a race

The Nazi's weren't the first time the Germans went a little power crazy.

German aftermarket vs. OEM is interesting, though. The process that Germans go through to put anything on their vehicles is different. In that, they need to register the vehicle with the aftermarket products [exaust, suspension, etc.] So, typically their manufacturers have produced what they feel to be the "finished" product. It is also why there are entire companies in Germany that will produce an aftermarket vehicle with their name.

Yeah I dont know why i typed race, I was actually thinking culture.

Italian bikes are so passionate and stylish. German bikes are built with so much emphasis on design, Japanese machines are so focused and functional. British machines exude a certain flair for protocol.

My point is, don't worry about what you ride there on... BMW has been one of the few brands that actually let's you demo their motocycles. When was the last time you got to demo a ZX-10 from the dealer?
True dat!

Yep, I'm going to test ride one here as soon as the weather and my schedule click! I want it to be decent so that I can get a really good romp in. Once or twice around the "block" isn't going to cut it for a bike that costs $17,000!!!

you won't be disappointed, too bad you aren't closer. The unescorted test ride was nice. Plus their recommended loop is actually pretty good. They are taking it up to the gap tomorrow.
