No, I got some nice Sony earbuds that sound real good and I have some Bose over-the-ear ones for when I'm not at the gym or running.

I was just think'n the in ear ones would be the shit for long road trips... they'll not cause pressure and shouldn't hurt any with a helmet on...

For headphones, there is only one choice:

http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-CX-.../dp/B000E1FYQA

I use these and they sound absolutely friggin AMAZING! They act as ear plugs at the same time so even with the music turned down low, you can't hear crap that's going on around you! The low bass response is killer as well. They irritated my ears after leaving them in for a long time at first, but I got used to them. I could leave them in for hours now.

I have the iPod 80gb Classic as well.

I'm curious as to how that turns out. Post up pics when you do it. I wanted to do that too but got lazy and found the Sennheizers. 55 is a bit expensive but I've had 'em for about 2 years now and no issues at all.

What are you going to use for the drivers in those home-made ones? Are you going to gut a cheapie pair of earbuds?
