On a street bike, why not?

I'd even ask for a track/race bike but I already know the required internet response.

”required internet response”

Of the injuries we have had at my events, the most serious have happened by the frame sliders catching and flipping the bike into the rider. One of them not at a high speed. Therefore, I wouldn't put them on any bike I own.

As far as tip over in a parking lot, and putting sliders on to keep your bike pretty... sliders themselves aren't ”pretty.” I'll take my chances.
