ICON tends to attract the early 20s guys....squids. lol

I'll agree ICON makes the best looking gear by a margin, but their lids just fit strangely and I feel the padding used it far less then the other mainstream high end units.

I like Suomy the best...for fit and the lack of fogging up.

I don't care how much you spend on a helmet. If it doesn't fit its not going to do its job. I owned two Icon helmets (I still have one) and one HJC dirt. I have been down on the street and in the dirt. I don't think my head hit on the street. But I also had on an Icon jacket and it didn't have a mark on it. I didn't really slide, I kinda bounced. I did have a zipper break but not from the accident.

In the dirt I hit my head on a rock and had only a small scuff on the HJC. Both the HJC fit my perfect, from the first time till the last.

I think I might have been the first to buy an Icon helmet at my dealer. The reason I looked at them was because of my HJC. I tried on almost every helmet there and that fit the best.

My Icon did fog up from what I remember.

I can definately see myself buying a KTM in the future. Probly not the RC8...but maybe a Super Duke.

For 15-16K? I'd much rather have a 1098/1198 base model or maybe a used MV Agusta.

Have you ridden a SD? They are not worth the money but whatever, like you said it's your coin.
