While not a Chopper fan I have seen a couple of them at the local dealer. It looks like well made and thought out factory "Custom" Having ridden shaft on Honda's Yamaha's and BMW's if it has to be a shaft I will take the Honda. I may be wrong but my hunch is that this goes in the same category as the Rune. A nice bike that they will sell few of but it will get them into the show room where they will ride our on some less expensive Honda

Would have been cool to see them take it serious and drop a huge engine in it.
A harley is a harley and most of the other cruisers just try to imitate.

That is what will happen. However, for a few thousand more they could buy a used BDM for about $15k.

This is the #1 problem. The chopper fad is over. Its all about bobbers and baggers now. But WTF do I know... I'm one of the only guys on here that had a chopper.

I wonder how many bikers will actually buy the "Furby".

Probably now where near as many who go to look at one and Roll out on something less expensive, like a shadow or a VTX 1300. It appears to be a styling exercise that Honda is using to sell bikes.

One difference between the Fury and the Rune is price. The Fury costs half what the Rune cost 5 years ago. It also costs significantly less than any other "chopper" style bike you don't have to build yourself. Add in that it will be covered by Honda's warranty, will not be the money pit most choppers are once out of warranty, and will probably be worth more than pennies on the dollar at resale time and I think it may do OK.
