that's what makes him so boring during interviews.
He's very good - no question - but his personality reminds me of a pet goldfish.

Spies is only like that for the press. He loosens up among friends. However he is completely focused on the number 1 plate and it would be good to stamp a good ole USA on that regardless of his quote worthiness or media charm.

Oh I have always been a Haga fan, but I didnt club race with him and watch him mature into a world level competitor. I wish he were heathy and was giving Spies hell. He really does deserve a championship of his own...

Nori really does deserve a championship, and i know he moved to Ducati to accomplish that.... but its gonna be really ironic when Spies shows up and replaces him and wins one with Yamaha.

I like Haga but am pulling for Spies all the way. Spies likes to have fun...here's a blurry shot of him I got at VIR last year putting on his "O" face. There was some other riders there...must be rookies or something. Spies and a few others... The snack cart... Last edited by z06boy; 07-29-2009 at 09:48 AM.. |

I agree spies is all business at work which I respect but there is a fun side to him. We were also at VIR last year. My daughter wanted to get his autograph so we stood in the LONG line so she could meet him. When we got there she was so shy she hid behind my back. Ben stood up reached around me and tickled her. He said something like see I don't bite I tickle I thought that was funny and sweet. My daughter now watches every race and screams at the TV for "Her Ben" to win
