It's not like Puma is a "fashion label" just trying to look cool.

They make other stuff for motorsports and have for years. It's only natural they'd get into this after the launch of their boots.

And by and large the reviews of their gear have been excellent.

I'm sure it's great, I'm not knocking the quality. But i prefer to stick to a company that focus's on, and has more experience with, the particular hobby or sport.

Puma is an "athletic" sports gear company, in that they make money selling running shoes, soccer shoes, athletic apparel, etc. They aren't making the bulk of their profit off their motorcycle gear, which makes it kind of gimmicky. I tend to stay away from gimmicks. Just my PP.

Just because it isn't the only thing a company does doesn't mean they don't do it well.

I see what you're saying, I just think it's a narrow view.

So which is it? Does Yamaha make better pianos or motorcycles? Does kawasaki make better heavy equipment or motorcycles? Does victory make better snowmobiles or motorcycles?

Easy, pianos, cranes and snowmobiles. On the other hand Suzuki makes WAY better bikes than they ever did fabric looms!!!
