I finally got home around 1am! Damn traffic was stupid!

Getting out of Austin was easy, as the Texas DPS Challenger pursuit car they had on display at the track was right in front of us on 130. He was doing 95 so we just picked up on his draft. lol

Once we hit Temple, traffic came to a screeching halt and stayed that way until Hillsboro. 3 hours to go 70 miles. WTF man.

Lane closures all over the place between Austin and Dallas. I was ready to beat people.

It was good seeing everyone I caught up with over the weekend! Ed, no problem hauling Deidra around. Although I think the BMW spoiled her. I doubt you'll be able to get her on the Aprilia now.

I had my co-pilot working the gps overtime finding us back roads to get around all the stopped traffic between Austin and Dallas. Even accidentally wound up right in the middle of the mess in West, TX (fertilizer explosion site). There were cops EVERYWHERE, fire trucks, etc. all over that little town. The streets were blocked off with temporary concrete barricades. Spooky. Made it through, though. One more re-route around a blockage right in Dallas, then smooth sailing the rest of the way, but it still took 2 hours longer to get home than it did to get to Austin because of the traffic.
