Definitely try some on. I just bought my bf a pair for his birthday in the same size that he wears in every other boot and he needs one euro size larger.

She's right of course,but like I said,these boots do take a little break in time and you don't want to buy big or they may end up loose on you. Unless,you are saying that they are "short" on him and not "narrow". Anyway,I'll always agree that you should try on things before you buy them
