Default Time for a new SUV, what to get?

The lease is up on my 2007 Acadia and it's time to replace it. Right now I'm between an Expedition and a Tahoe/Yukon. I'm looking for feedback on reliability on either of these.

I know the ford 5.4L had had some serious issues with spark plugs breaking off in the cylinder head when trying to remove and the exhaust manifolds are prone to cracking. The Tahoe/Yukon have had issues with the 4WD transfer module. Any other issues I should be aware of?

I'm towing a boat so this is why I need a big SUV.

I'm also buying a couple years old because I want to get out of the lease cycle. It would be nice to be car payment free in a few years.

Expedition 4.6 is known for head gasket leak.
If you are looking at a 5.4 , makes sure that (older than 04), that it had the cyclinder heads replaced by ford or had the insert. I think they addressed the headgasket in later models.

Tahoe/Yukon - Make sure that it had tranny service as per maintenance schedule. Otherwise, should be reliable but trim likes to take a hike and they have been known for electrical gremlins.

Lowering and stretching is for losers

Who cares if you're gonna lease it. You won't own it if it breaks, you'll just turn it in, and it'll still be under factory warranty
