I would get the tail or tank bag, you dont want to carry stuff on your back for that long of a ride.
Tom
Yea,now you tell me....:panic: Just kidding! I've considered that too but I think it will be alright. Especially now that I've already bought the damn thing! Besides, I'll feel better with my laptop on my back than anywhere else.

Yea, that looks like the one I'm getting at Walmart. Best part is if I don't use it on this trip, it's back to Walmart for you Mr. Rainsuit!
I looked at Wal Mart here. About the only decent rain suits they have here are for hunters, camo, and are expensive as hell. :panic:
I was told to check out Home Depot, but I'm lazy and the one I linked is cheaper than what I was told they are at Home Depot anyway..... :idk:

Um no sweetie, you DONT want to do that. Been there, done that, your back and shoulders will be in horrible pain after a couple hours if it takes that long. If you have a way to bungee or otherwise strap it to your tail section and maybe use it as a buttrest, you will enjoy the ride much more.
As for rain gear, my militay connections hooked me up, I ay look ridiculous, but I wont be wet. Tried and true...for feet, if you dont have other means, wrap your socks (on your feet) with plastic bags and then put your boots on, they may be warm, but they'll be dry!
Walmart rain gear is good for about 1 trip, it tears at the seams and starts leaking after a couple hundred miles...

Well I"m planning to call TWO and book a spot for Kerry and I. What is the sleeping arrangements? Are there rooms or is it one big open lodge? Beds? Just need to figure out what needs to come with...tent/sleeping pads/bags etc.
Thanks!

Let us know how that works out for you. We already booked the lodge completely up. You have to ask rogue if we have room.
If there is no room in the lodge, they have tent camping for anyone else who can find a place.

All the beds and the two sleeper sofas are spoken for. The only thing that is now available in the lodge is a couple of couches that don't make into beds. The trailers are already rented as well (not for our rally). You're more than welcome to stay in the lodge consdering what's left. :) If anything, there's plenty of floor space! It beats camping outside, especially if it rains.

If you guys don't mind sleeping on the floor then by all means you're more than welcome to stay in the lodge as far as I'm concerned. :D I'm probably going to sleep on one of the little sofas so someone else can have a bed myself.

if I can squeeze in buying headphones I will bring mine as well. I use it mostly in the gym so its primarily more upbeat agressive stuff. A lot of thrash, some prog and old school stuff.

my younger sister got the cd a few years back when they got popular. I gave it a listen and liked a bunch of the tracks on there. Its not real screamer type stuff but I think she has a good voice.
Tom
She has an AWESOME voice! My Immortal is my favorite by far but I can't listen to it. It makes me cry
Any particular song(s) from Lacuna Coil and Nightwish I should give a listen to? So far nothing but some good guitar rhythms is all I've heard....no screaming. :( Still good stuff from Nightwish though :dthumb:

Is that a remake of Real Life's original?

I usually don't care for remakes. But I'll go see if I can find it. :)
Edit: Found it. It says it came out in 1998? Definately NOT a remake. Pretty cool! :dthumb:

Don't worry about it. It's NOT a remake. Trust me. Besides I don't think you'd want to hear Real's Life's "Send Me An Angel". Not your style.

Woo Hoo! 4 tires, 2 oil & filter changes, and general maintenance later the bikes are ready! Now we need to start figuring up the "what to take" part of the prep.
Friday morning can't get here soon enough as far as I'm concerned, because Little Taz and I really need a break from the ordinary.
As hard as it is for me to believe, I've never ridden in NoGA.
Drove through the area in a truck once going to Gainesville / Winder, but not on a bike. I'm pretty pumped about meeting some of the folks on here and riding some new roads. :rockwoot:

Kerry and I are plannin to ride down on Thursday and camp at TWO. You riding down or trailering Huge? Are you heading to the Gap on Sunday with the group and home on Monday. If so maybe we can all ride back together.
COME ON THURSDAY!!!

Well the pull or ride question is still up in the air, clouds really. If I trailer, which I would rather do because a.New tires, b.Bring more stuff, I would need to use my PU truck, which still has no windshield wipers. If it is stlll raining we may have to ride down. Or I could put one bike on the trailer and pull it with the Toyota and ride the other. My not huge trailer will only hold 1 bike.
We planned on coming back on Sunday so I doubt a trip to the Gap will happen, but we'll see.

All I have to do is run a couple of errands (leaving in a few), come home and change the oil. Then I'm good to go! :dthumb:

I was almost ready and then it had to start pouring, so I need to put my new pilot powers (that work well in rain) I was saving for track days on instead of running with my almost toasted corsa IIIs, that suck ass even new in the rain.

Damn dude.
I still need to do my oil change. I've still got other shit I'm trying to accomplish too. :willy:
Damn dude.
It's ok, the bike is going up for sale as soon as I get it fixed up right after the rally, so I think track days are a thing of the past for me anyway.

Yea I changed my oil and I've been packed since Sunday. I'm debating whether or not to re-re-prog my PCIII before I leave. I don't think Wheeler will be able to get to it and I'm getting too much fuel delivery from the map with my old exhaust. If it stops raining I'll do that and lube my chain and be ready!

I am prety much packed. I still want to bleed my brakes and need to check my tire presures (def need to overinflate the rear) so that my rear makes the trip. I know I iwll forget somestuff though.
Also any of you guys have a 30mm wrench or socket. Rogue needs it for something on her bike and I cannot seem to find mine :idk:

I probably do, but won't be there until Friday. Seems like a 1-1/4" or 1-1/8"
would work...

I'll have a mega Crescent in my toolbox. Is it for a rear axle?

It's for this: http://www.svrider.com/tips/clunk.htm
I'm packed. Have been packed since last night. I just got in from work and I'm going outside in a few to change my oil. I have to be up early in the morning for work and no time to get it done before Amorok gets here.
He could help me but we're not staying at my place. It's a wreck with the plumbing issue we've been having. I'm hoping my roomie has it fixed by the time I get back.
