How do you think guns were made prior to the industrial revolution?

I'm not saying I have a great deal of confidence in them or anything, but they do seem to go bang (in the right direction) often enough to keep that area in business.

Probably the way that I made muzzle loaders and zip guns, myself, when I was a kid. There's a bit of a difference between a hand made single shot weapon and an assault rifle with a cyclical rate of fire in the 500+ rpm range. "Oops, the spring broke!" can have rather serious consequences.

Also....if they're making 1000 AK's a day, who gives a crap how LONG they're gonna last?!?!?

I'm not being a dick, I'm just SAYING...if they're chuckin them out THAT fast I can get a "new" one every month if I need one

True enough, but it seems like volunteers are as cheap and available as the guns.
Kind of sad really, that you can have generations of people carrying on the same old conflicts because it's just what they do.
