Should I upgrade to an iPhone?

I am running jellybean currently on my galaxy nexus. It's the first os that has felt buttery smooth like my iPad. Google is upping the game in a big way with the stock OS. They really just need to get a heavy hitter piece of hardware to combine it all in one spectacular package. They just haven't hit that yet. The good hardware gets stuck with bloatware bullshit or the vanilla phone gets cheap hardware.

I think the advantage with the Android systems as they improve is they are tied to the search engine that is used most. Whereas, apple products are an outsider using someone else's product.
It's like Rossi on his own bike running laps around a track. It's his bike and they are one. Then, Kevin Schwantz hops on it and although he's a great rider, he's not going to be quite as fast as Rossi on Rossi's bike. Did any of that make sense!?

Apple and Google use to be tight before Google made Android. Apple is slowly purchasing other companies to get rid of this connection though. They did away with Google Maps for iOS6 and are moving to a Tom Tom run company til they can build their own maps. Siri is starting to do a lot of the search functions for Apple users and not feeding any user information about who is doing the search to Google, this eliminates the advertising money for google.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Apple trying to buy up a search company before long.

I just ran a Jellybean Search vs iOS5 Siri, Jellybean destroyed Siri. iOS6 Siri is a different animal though.

I think this is definitely a case of competition is good! The only bad thing is when they get in a hurry to beat the other to the punch and put out sub-par product!

Apple never gets in a hurry. More of a worry about Android.

Turn by turn is nice, apple maps needs a little work

Siri is a little better

haven't played with much else yet

I am waiting for the 5 - I have the 4 now (not the 4S). Not enough of an improvement from the 4 to the 4S to get me to change.

On my iPhone 4 or my iPad? My iPad is only a 2 not a 3 - I can't run iOS 6, can I?

At least your iphone 4, then you get to use Apple Maps and free turn by turn. Your iPad isn't really worth it cause you only really get Siri and Apple Maps with iOS6 and you don't get Siri on the ipad 2.
