So in Q3 I'm getting a corp provided phone since they will no longer let us expense our personal phones and I was originally told my choices were "any BB device, any WinMo device, or an iPhone". At first I was thinking maybe an HTC Diamond or Samsung Omnia.

"Oh, those aren't on the list."

"Can I see the list of approved devices, then?"

"Here it is, but it's out of date. We're working on the updated version now. Basically BB devices or the iPhone."

"OK then, I'd like the BB Storm."

"Sorry, not on the approved list."

"So......my choices are traditional BB devices or an iPhone?"

"BB Storm 2 will be evaluated when it comes out."

"When's that?"

"1st half of 2010."

Lot of good that does me now. I may be going with the iPhone, as much as I don't like Apple. The product I've been working on has an iPhone client and I need to be able to test with it anyway. I've looked at the traditional BBs and they just don't do it for me. Never thought I'd see the day where I get an iPhone.

I bought my storm about 2 weeks ago, updated to .132 the same day and love the thing so far.

I just got the .148 update today and it has been a big improvement over the original release I had.

I also started fiddling around with the Aps. Really loving my phone now that it is much faster.

i really wanted to get one till i caught word that a wifi version is in the pipe for next year. i can live with the glyde till then lol

yeah storm 2 is already fully going in testing, i would skip on storm 1. They are doing something else with the surepress screen too because of the lag it causes.

I'm starting to miss buttons. There are days when I can type nice and quick, then there are days when my fingers get a touch of the downs and I bang out some words that even the autocorrect can't figure out. I hope the touch/button BB is still in the works, with wi-fi.
