Over at cf, we knew who played games because we had a subforum for it. Here, not so much. So, as the title says, who plays, and what are you playing?

lately i've been playing Dragon Age Origis and Xenogears (PSX Emulators FTW!). Dragon age is awesome, and if anyone played Baldurs Gate for PC back in the day and enjoyed it, you will probably love this game. Its apparently pretty long, im only about 8 hours into it.

Xenogears is the greatest game ever, but its extremely long. (80 hours, and most of it story), and I dont play it very much. An hour here or there.

Next up: Mass Effect 2. The original was one of the best sci fi games ever made!!

Only play CODMW, MXvsATV, and SF4. Sometimes GTA4 get's in there too, but since it takes 5min to load, and I'm impatient, that rarely get's played. I have a full seat/steering wheel setup for GT4 prologe, but I don't have it quite setup so I never touch it. I'm just too lazy to build a stand for the wheel base.

and occasionally when i am tired or want something slower paced, i will pop in metal gear solid - guns of the patriots on PS3. just got to act 3. looking fwd to beating it and trying Demon's Souls and or Dragon Age. eventually i will get to Assassins Creed 2.

resistance 2 was entertaining fora a few days, but it went back as soon as i beat it. online sucked.

MW3 for the moment. Took a shade over 4 hours to complete the campaign mode. Disappointing. Online's not bad. I like some of the changes they've made. Don't care much for the maps. They all seem to be one or two shades of bland mixed with some splashes of dull gray. Tomorrow UPS should be delivering Fallout New Vegas. Amazon has it for dirt cheap. Might as well give it a go.

RAGE was a huge disappointment.

Arkham City was badass. I did miss the scare crow levels and the spooky cut scenes of him.

BF3 single player was between good and great.

Homefront was actually interesting. Too bad it was so short. I loved the setting.

Dead island turned out to be a lot of fun. At first I wasn't really liking the WoW lvling up crap but it grew on me.

Portal 2 is well......if you havent played it yet then you're an ass hole.

My old 8800gts was enough to stabilize the system but it looked like crap compared to my GTX 280.
Now, with the GTX 560ti (448 cores) that I just put in... it's pure buttah. :D

Well, performance wise, the numbers say that GTX 280 of mine was still plenty good, but something had started causing it to shit itself and locking the whole system when it did. I could probably have gone with a lesser card (or a lesser card SLI setup for the same price), but I opted for the best compromise between forward compatibility and budget.
I should be good for a while, at least until my CPU & mobo/memory start bottlenecking things.

The story follows the same annoying formula as the other games. Level begins. A situation happens that leaves your character disorientated. Most of the time it's because the vehicle you're riding in gets blown up. Shoot shit, advanced the story, obvious plot twist. Repeat. It was funny in MW2 in how predictable the whole thing was, but now it's just fucking annoying. Nearly every level starts with your character fucked up for a minute or two and stumbling around while the action happens around you. Time for a new schtick.

A few hours into Fallout: New Vegas and I both like it and hate it. It's fun, and I like being back into the whole Fallout thing, but holy fucking shit is this game a buggy piece of shit. I read that the patches fixed the problems. If this is "fixed", I don't even want to know how this played before. The only positive is that it forces me to take breaks.

Ive never really had a problem with NV. FO3 had its occasional shut downs but I never did have graphical problems lime a lot of people. I just make sure to save before and after each mission, when I find something, and when Ihave to make a decision.

I enjoyed the original FC -- loved playing multi-player and running around choppin' the fuck outta people with the machete.

The game story, graphics, cinematics and all that are incredible. The interface is intuitive - much like most MMO's, fairly easy to use.

Combat is a different story - it's not turn based (thank god) but it's also not a mouse click frenzy. Combat is very much all about the combinations and various types of attacks you can do. No casting on the run and aggro management is key - more than a few of the mobs will kill you.

Not to give MW3 any slack, because it's filled with dumb shit, but when I have the game hooked up to good speakers, I can hear people coming around corners. If I was trying to get penetration kills, I'd do the same thing and aim at a wall when I hear someone coming. That doesn't excuse other bullshit, but it's something I've done in the past that works.

Were you in hardcore? I smoke a lot of people through walls by orienting the sound dot on the minimap forwards. You also may have been in a popular spot. Pull his video from the lobby and see what he does. If he does it regularly he may be wall hacking and you need to report him. Caught some kids boosting that way last night. They were very slick about it, nearly got away with it

GTA Vice City "RAGE" is out.

I'm still on skyrim. Trying to clear some glitched missions.



Ive been downloading mods for it lately for a second playthrough. High Resolution mods, UI mods, night/day, weather and season mods. Should be a very different game second time through.

Elder Scrolls and Fallout games (I think you'd like Fallout: New Vegas, if you like Skyrim) are very different on PC with the community made mods to support the game.. And Fallout 3 had me hooked for 100+ hours. Oblivion with mods is amazing as well. Without them its a pretty bland and badly flawed game, imo.

Oblivion was a HUGE step backwards from Morrowind and its expansion packs (and mods). Still feel like Morrowind has been the high water mark for the series.

Most people do, though your completely wrong about mods. Oblivion has hundreds of amazing mods that make the game a first class experience. Though so does Morrowind. Ive been playing the series from the behinning, way back in the day, and morrowind is my fave, but Oblivion turned into a great game with the community behind it.

Personally, I think Fallout has been the better series as of late.

Still playing DC Universe. It's becoming boring and repetitive, but for the price of free dollars and free cents, I'm not complaining too much. I think I'm close to finishing the main quest on Fallout: New Vegas, but I haven't been motivated to play it lately. I wish I still had my NES and SNES. I've been itching to play some older games, but the emulators just lack the right feel.

no the new ones he has been doing with the armies attacking the castles. I know what skyrim looks like, this one is the crappy graphics game. It's not ages of empire either.
