ugh, had to retake my M endorsement test today, what a drag. some guy's tail light wasnt working, so we all pitched together and got that fixxed, i didnt stick around to see if he passed.

I got bitched at because of my flushmounts, "they arent visable" . which is true, but im really not worried about the people in front of me seeing that im turning, im just worried that they see me period... big yellow bike, a bit harder to miss than most.

anyways passed w/ 2 points ( i dont even know where they came from, quick stop i think) so no problems there, but i had to get a new license picture, and damn i didnt think it could get any worse than my last one. i dont know how i wear and XL helmet and my head still looks so small.

Original. I lended a guy a spacer at the track and I think I put the left side's spacer on the right side (I had extra ones from my ebay specials). They appear to be different. I tightened the axle down and it pressed the spacer through the inner bearing ring jones and cracked it. It was proly a combo of me using the wrong spacer and over-tightening my axle nut, I don't know. I'm gonna look up the torque requirements on that bitch. Lesson learned.

Your torque wrench is your best friend. A little tip: to keep it accurate always turn it back to 0 ftlb before you put it away and never use it to loosen anything.

It's not my track wheel, it's my street wheel. We use torque wrenches a lot here at work. We have to cycle 'em at the highest setting 5 times before we use 'em and put 'em away at the lowest setting. I'm just gonna pick up a 30 dollar job at Autozone.

Then I rode back to Vegas. 12 hours and 678 miles later, I was home. Awesome fucking day! Not sure if I buzzed 243, but it sounds real familiar.

From a dead stop, if you get up on the airbox cover, the front end skims the ground thru first, and bounces on the shift to second.

From a roll on in first or second, if you aren't forward on it you can 12 o'clock it real easy.

If you WANT to wheelie it. ANYtime in 1st gear (over 3K)
2nd gear over about 6K (about 55-60 mph)
3rd sometimes.

all power wheelies, I don't clutch it up.

With equal riders, will it out handle a jap liter bike thru twisties, yes. (so they say)
Is it more comfortable than any SS bike, yes.
Is it a better "daily rider/tourer" than any SS, yes.
Will it eat through rear tires, yes.
Will it wheelie on command, yes.

I love mine. Yes it has its quirks, but it's a new model. By the time Ebbs gets back all that should be ironed out, as they are constantly making it better and fixing probs as they arise.

The buell is a little better. If I remember right, Drewp was in the mid 20's.

I'm getting mid 30's unless I play real hard.
The average MPG gauge tells me 29 mpg over the 2248 miles currently on it. And that's with a lot of idle time (warm up when like 10 degrees out) and all the break in time.
