Son of a Bitch. While I was getting my tires changed tonight, a new problem with my bike was brought to my attention. When the guy before me had it, his torque wrench was superman. The bolts that hold the calipers were super-tightened and the threads were fucked up. He said the best he could do was 280 per caliper.

Great ride until the bike shut off on me mid turn...suck. Started right back up but was stuttering real bad around 5-6k rpms. Might have to take it in for the TPS recall. Also need to do some more adjustment on my throttle cable.

There are 6 long rubber covered nut that go around the windscreen. (I have no clue if all/most/some other bikes are like that too) The reason Mark had to drill bigger holes was because the little nuts did not fit in the pre drilled ones.

I put all the nuts back on the windscreen and tried to get it to snap back into the holes on the upper fairing...but no. There is ONE that I cannot get a grip on from the back...then I had to take the thing off the screen and now I cannot get it back on. But it was such a PITA to get the rest clipped on that I do not want to take the rest off to get the one to work.

I am so frustrated that I am stepping away for the night...I don't want to end up snapped any plastic because I am pissed!

Might just take off the upper so I can get my hand behind...we'll see in the morning. :td:

Wow, That is some crazy shit! I just ran the miles from Grand Rapids,mi to indy and Antioch,TN to indy where both of you fucks are to see who has the shortest trip and my shit at work I use for Trucking miles puts it a dead fucking heat down to the tenth of a mile! Dead even each way. 296.4 miles.

on the front brakes midturn, not on the balls of his feet, and the shape of his body in reference to the bike looks weird, not really looking thru the turn, but im a newb so what do i know lol

He's not leaning off the bike or looking through the turn. But when I am braking for a downhill turn, I keep the brakes on lightly through the turn until I am ready to accelerate. This keeps the front end from popping up and upsetting the suspension and my line. Going uphill, I get in the right gear and finish my braking before I'm in the turn. As for level curves, I don't see many of those.

I cover the brake a lot when I ride twisties, especially the gap. Never know when that semi will come around a corner in my lane or a hog will be on the road and I need to stand the bike up and brake quickly.

Oh nothing... getting ready to do some work on the bike this weekend prepping for the track next weekend

Want to give it a good cleaning... then change the oil, clean n lube the chain, strip it down and maybe do a little safety wiring, install the race plastics, install my onboard camera setup, and install my new lap timer.




Will be going up to NHMS thursday night, and doing the penguin racing school on friday the 26th... finishing it will allow me to get my racing license.

Then coming back friday night for some family stuff on saturday....

sunday morning driving back up to NHMS to watch the races (a bunch of buddies are in points battles, last race weekend of the year and it's for double points!)

Staying sunday night for track days on monday the 29th and tuesday the 30th.
