A lot of this footage is from the range at Nellis AFB (Vegas). Every quarter or so, you can go out to the range and they put on a live firepower demonstration. Pretty impressive. The A10 is literally built around its 30mm, 1.2 ton, gatling gun. If you removed the gun, it wouldn't fly.

If you've ever heard a professional drag racing event from a distance, it sounds a lot like an A10 firing its 30mm gun. You know, like when they're burning out to warm up their tires. LVMS is right near the base in Vegas and you can hear the draggers burning out from like 2-3 miles away. Sounds just like an A10 firing.

It started raining here last night at like 10 and there were already flash floods this morning. There is no end in sight.

On another not I was driving on the highway last night and lightning struck the pavement like 50-100 feet in front of me. There was no delay between the light and sound. We even felt the fucking shockwave come from it. So bright on all of the water on the road that I was blinded for a second. The only reason I think it was that close is that it was between me and the truck in front of me and i was within a hundred yards of the truck. Scared the shit out of me.

They told him he: had a broken engine mount (!), front control arm bushings that were starting to crack, and needed a tranny fluid flush. can anyone tell me how much is BS, and how much is serious? the car just passed 50K miles.

It's easy to check if a motor mount is broken. Locate the mounts, have somebody behind the wheel start it, put it in gear, hold the brake down hard and press the gas. Not enough to do a burnout, but just enough for the engine to move. Monitor the mounts and see if it moves too much. The tranny flush, if not done another time, is due. Wouldn't worry about the bushing just yet. Check it to see how cracked it really is.
